Foundations For Healthy Newborn Sleep
This course is evidence-based, responsive, attachment-focused, practical, and culturally inclusive. We equip parents and caregivers with gentle, developmentally appropriate solutions for common sleep challenges.
Course Outline
- Developmentally realistic expectations for Newborn sleep.
- Learning the different ways baby’s communicate.
- How to differentiate between your baby’s cues for sleep vs. hunger.
- What “Happy Awake Time” is.
- How to support your baby in taking adequate naps.
- How to promote good sleep during the daytime vs. the nighttime.
- How and when to develop a bedtime routine.
This course also includes:
The context of sleep, sleep training culture, attachment and communication, sleep biology and sleep cycles, safe sleep, bed sharing, infant feeding challenges that can affect sleep, behaviors/temperament/and parenting influences in developing healthy sleep, colic, reflux, nutrition, allergies, eating and health challenges.
